The Role

Reporting to the Content, Brand & PR Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the social media marketing strategy for all Eteach Group brands.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote the Eteach Group’s single overarching brand message across all social media channels
  • Investigate social strategies and performance of key competitors
  • Identify current key trends and topics in the marketing
  • Research into hashtag following / what hashtags we should be using and how we should be using them for the biggest impact
  • Collect feedback and opinions directly from the existing registered candidate database
  • Conduct SWOT analysis to identify where and how Eteach can make the biggest impact quickly, and where more resources and time may be required
  • Benchmark current performance and set targets as appropriate
  • Regularly monitor and optimise PPC campaigns
  • Conduct audience and competitor research to inform and generate content
  • Manage hashtags and groups to follow on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook
  • Monitor online conversations and trends and escalate to Eteach to respond appropriately
  • Monitor competitor social pages
  • Provide regular fortnightly reporting to track the performance of each social channel and provide insights and actionable recommendations
  • Track user actions on Eteach’s website from social media posts
  • Report on KPIs – Impressions, Clicks, CTR, Bounce Rate, Conversions
  • Optimise content, calendar and landing pages based on KPIs on an ongoing basis
  • Work with the Content, Brand & PR Manager to create social content in multimedia formats based on the overall content strategy
  • Manage regular social posts utilising a social media scheduling tool
  • Create engaging social copy for content based on an agreed social schedule with the Content, Brand & PR Manager
  • Build a strong library of media assets that covers content across different verticals in a variety of formats
  • Follow hashtags on LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram and groups on Facebook
  • Monitor your own pages, posts and comments and respond appropriately
  • Use activities to inform new content and build this into the content calendar
  • To support the Marketing team with any ad hoc activities required.

Job requirements

Essential skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, communication studies, journalism, creative writing, or another relevant field (desirable, but not essential)
  • Experience managing social media platforms across multiple brands
  • Knowledge of all leading social media sites, including their algorithms
  • Experience using social scheduling tools and platforms
  • Experience in creating engaging social media content across multiple platforms
  • Efficient research skills
  • Some experience in using Photoshop
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proofreading skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and engaging writing style
  • Knowledge of engagement metrics and an understanding of how to analyse these
  • Ability to work within a team and autonomously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
